I am a MS2 in Ponce Health Sciences University.

why am I part of Legacy LITTLE heroes?

I am part of LITTLE heroes because I want to mentor and inspire young people to believe on their dreams in the field of medicine.

how did I come across what I'm doing?

Since I was young, I watched my parents build a successful family business with hard work and effort. My father would always say that motivation, as well as long hours of work and service, was the key to success. With this in mind, as well as a genuine interest in the study of the human body, the practice of medicine was the perfect dream for me.

What inspires me every day in what I am doing?

The fact that most inspires me everyday in what I am doing is that in life there are some things that can not be cure with science and medicine, but they can be heal with faith and love, and having the role of the doctor will challenge me to fulfill that in my everyday.

how have I grown so far after my first year of medical school?

The first year of medical school proved invaluable in providing me with a realistic perception of the life of a medicine student and the opportunity to work and train in a real life environment. I also learned that doctors are constantly facing many difficult situations but the need for service and the compassion to others is the true key for success in a patient’s care. Therefore, in daily life, what makes you strong is not how many times you achieve success, but how many times you have fallen and stand up to GROW with more strength.

How do I think I will grow after this experience?

With this experience I can grow inspiring young students to follow their dreams making the best out of them, so in a future I can transferred that motivation and inspiration to my future profession and daily life.
